A new generation of young women (and older Sex and the City addicts) are going to get a dose of the curly haired sex columnist and fashion maven, Carrie Bradshaw, popularized by Sarah Jessica Parker, all over again in the new CW show The Carrie Diaries, staring AnnaSophia Robb as young Carrie Bradshaw. Set in New York City in the 80s, the new show will show the life of Carrie as a high school student and her exploits with her other besties before meeting Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte.
Gossip Girl costume designer Eric Daman, who also helped style Sex and the City with Patricia Field, will be styling the episodes, so you know the clothes are going to be 80s chic. Above is a first look at AnnaSophia as Carrie Bradshaw with her curly blond hair, sparkly tulle skirted dress and vertiginous red pumps. Let the 80s resurgence begin.
