March 22, 2012

When Salvatore Ferragamo throws a party, you know it’s going to be good.  To fete its newest women’s perfume Signoria, the Italian label rounded up some of its favorite celebrities at Julian Shcnabel’s cozy space, Palazzo Chupi, in the West Village for the occasion.

Heavy hitters like Covert Affairs Piper Perabo, The Carrie Diaries’ AnnaSophia Robb, actresses Kate Mara and Emma Roberts, fashion writer Derek Blasberg, model Veronica Webb, The Richards Sisters, Courtney Love, Beyonce’s stylist Ty Hunter, and online fashion editors and bloggers were all in attendance.  The band, I Blame Coco, fronted by Sting’s daughter, performed a few sets during the party.

Signorina by Salvatore Ferragamo is a playful, fresh and sophisticated, with a youthful attitude that epitomizes the Ferragamo girl.  The perfume is very clean with notes of jasmine, delicate peony and feminine roses lending to its floral notes.  Currant spiced by with fresh pink pepper lends to the perfume’s effervescence. It’s a very wearable scent with an unexpected sweetness of pannacotta blended together with soft musks and patchouli notes.

Signorina is going to be a favorite for women who want something unexpected for spring.  It’s very light but has staying power.  The clean flacon has a delicate ribbon and a gold ball topper.  The perfume comes in 1.7oz and a 3.4oz bottles and retail for $74 and $98, respectilvely.

Launching on March 26, is a website dedicated to Signorina called The Girls About Town. The site will, according to the press release, “follow the face of Signorina, Bianca Balti, along with Rachel Chandler-Guinness, Alexandra Richards, Theodora Richards, and Lauren Remington-Platt on their journeys and lifestyles as the quintessential Signorinas.”
