Victoria’s Secret has launched a higher priced line, The Victoria’s Secret Designer Collection, and its almost sold out. The lingerie giant kept the designs under wraps, even though it showed some of them at the 2011 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Items already hit store shelves and online yesterday and include “shimmery see-through chiffons and trimmed with European lace, ribbons and embroideries, playful baby dolls, barely there unlined bras, deep-plunge push-up bras, string bikinis, low-cut teddies, garter belts, a kimono and a merry widow corset,” WWD.
Don’t expect to splurge on a million dollar bras here ladies. The brand is still keeping the Victoria’s Secret Designer Collection affordable. The price list includes:
- Bras from $98 to $158;
- Undies and garter belts are $38 to $68;
- Baby dolls and teddies are $158 to $218,
- Kimono and merry widow are $120 and $298, respectively.
The higher end collection is a move on the part of Victoria’s Secret to design its own premium lingerie instead of stocking other high end labels on its shelves. Though available online and five stores, including the Lexington Avenue and Herald Square megastores, Victoria’s Secret plans to stock its higher end lingirie collection to 13 other stores in late June.
