Of the most talked about weddings this year was the Lauren Bush-David Lauren wedding, which took place at the RRL Ranch in Colorado later this summer. The under the radar couple did not release photos of their wedding to the public until now. American Vogue nabbed the rights to publish the photos in its December issue and gave readers a sneak peak this week on its website.
The flawless bride wore a long sleeved gown designed by Ralph Lauren, father of the groom. Vogue reports that it took over 100 people and more than 3,000 hours to create this timeless gown. Lauren Bush Lauren now joins the likes of Kate Middleton and Ivanka Trump by wearing long sleeved and intricately designed gowns in the style of Princess Grace’s timeless wedding gown.
Vogue describes the dress as:
“Made of richly embellished fabrics, the dress’s top layer is featherweight tulle in antique ivory. Some 100 craftspeople spent more than 3,000 hours hand-embroidering the tulle with delicate motifs of small flowers and Renaissance-era scroll designs in ivory silk and metallic thread, Swarovski Elements crystals, and off-white pearl beads.”
David Lauren, who serves as the Vice President of Marketing for Ralph Lauren, paid homage to the western style so beloved by his father by donning long tail jacket and striped trousers with accoutrements like cowboy boots and jewelry on his vest.
