Entrepreneur and philanthropist Dylan Lauren paved her own path with sweetness. She 37-year-old daughter of legendary fashion designer Ralph Lauren is creating her own empire with her successful candy company, Dylan’s Candy Bar, known for lavish and decadent sugary confections. Dylan told WWD today that she has affinity towards comfortable and sensible shoes, often slipping her soles into black sketches, due to a neuroma that allows her only 30 minutes of standing in heels.
The newly-wed tells the publication that she owns 20 pairs of shoes, with Ralph Lauren, Walter Steiger, Saucony, Reebok, Nine West being among the labels in her closet. She says, “I love Sanuk flip-flops and Nike Free sneakers. Both are cushiony and don’t cause blisters.” She also tells WWD that she is very casual with her favorite shoes being flat soled. Dylan answered a series of short questions, giving insight into her style. For example, she rarely wears pantyhose, preferring Donna Karan hosiery to keep her legs warm in cold weather months or for a conservative event.
