Campaign Trail | Karlie Kloss Face of Aquascutum Fall 2010

Model Karlie Kloss turned down a dancing career for modeling and what a great decision it turned out to be.  She's the muse at Christian Dior, Alexander McQueen, Giorgio Armani and John Galliano, who has hailed model Karlie Kloss as a "young Lauren Bacall."  Kloss is the newest face of British heritage brand Aquascutum.  The campaign, shot by Willy Vanderperre, made its debut in the July issue of L'Uomo Vogue.

"For our autumn/winter 2010 campaign we wanted to capture the mood and atmosphere of the stormy seascapes of J.M.W Turner's paintings and the aesthetic of The French Lieutenant's Woman; both inspirations for the autumn/winter 2010 Aquascutum collection," said Belinda Earl, the label's ceo. "We have worked with Willy Vanderperre and Karlie Kloss for the second season; I feel they understand and reflect the refined sense of Aquascutum's British heritage."

We are coveting the camel pant and jacket combo Kloss sports in the advertising campaign. We'd rather seek the refuge of a chic Aquascutum umbrella and let it rain rain rain if it means we get to don that fabulous suit Kloss wears in the ad campaign.
