It’s been two months since Thomas and I said “I do” in front of friends and family in France. Marrying my best friend and partner in crime was a dream come true and sharing it with our guests for ten days in Paris and Southwestern France was the icing on the cake. We had two wedding ceremonies – a traditional Ghanaian ceremony and the white wedding – at two different chateaus in Poitiers, France. We’re very honored to be featured in VOGUE Weddings where we share our French, Ghanaian and American customs with you.

It was very important to share our wedding details because I want plus size brides, intercultural couples, interracial couples and Ghanaian brides to be represented in the mainstream publications as well as see similar couples on social media and Pinterest boards while researching and sourcing inspirations for their own weddings. My husband is very private but he knew this was so important to me so we decided to share some of the images.

Thank you to all our vendors (listed below) as well as family and friends that stepped in to make sure we had a fairy tale wedding. We couldn’t have done any of this without amazing help and support, especially during a gloabl pandemic.

Head to VOGUE to read our wedding story, along with some dress drama, and relive our epic wedding week with 68 stunning images shot by Charla Storey and her team – Rebecca Langford and Julie Wilmes. Thanks to Over the Moon’s Alexandra Macon for the amazing write-up.

I’ll be sharing some unpublished images and going into details in the next few weeks. Until then, please leave all your questions and comments below in the comments section.
