I’m so excited to finally share the David’s Bridal Spring 2021 wedding dress campaign images shot in Dallas, Texas back in December. The brand tapped me to be one of the real brides to model and wear their upcoming collection. Shot by award winning photographer Charla Storey, participating in this campaign finally allowed me to put on a wedding gown for the first time to envision myself as a bride. Even T got in on the action and donned a suit from The Black Tux for the shoot.
We shot the two of the dresses at the Hotel Crescent, which has become one of my favorite hotels in Dallas for a quick staycation or a shopping trip if you live outside of Dallas proper. The other two were shot at around Turtle Creek Park and downtown Dallas on the top of a parking deck that overlooked the cityscape.
I was a little hesitant to do the shoot because I wanted to try on wedding gowns with my bride squad. After thinking it through, I realized what an honor it would be to have these gorgeous images available at a national bridal retailer to serve as inspiration for other plus size brides. I posted a sneak peak of the shoot on New Year’s Eve and received so many messages of kudos and support from other plus size brides because they rarely see themselves represented in bridal publications.
Cheers to wedding season and to all brides feeling absolutely beautiful on their big day. David’s Bridal is size inclusive and offers expertly crafted gowns, often handmade, for brides sizes 0 – 30W. Wedding can be very expensive but your dress doesn’t have to be. You can find your dream dress for under $1699 and they have lots of sales throughout the year. I hope you enjoyed these photos as much as I loved shooting them. Which dress is your favorite?
