Have you heard of a bridesmaids proposal? If you’re currently perplexed and scratching your head, you’re not alone. I didn’t know this tradition existed until I started wedding planning. It was so hard picking my bridesmaids but after sitting down with T to go over our wedding party, we settled on having eight bridesmaids and groomsmen, including the best man and maid of honor. I put some thought into how I was going to propose to my girls and finally found the perfect bridesmaids proposal box at David’s Bridal.
I wanted my bridesmaids proposal box to be fun and themed. Since we’re getting married in France in the Poitou-Charentes region, I decided on something reminiscent of a beautiful French vineyard. I chose this gorgeous personalized wooden box as a keepsake for each bridesmaid. The bridesmaids proposal box comes with a vegan leather card case and a personalized stemless champagne flute.
I wanted to add some personal touches so I included three of my favorite accessories – a knotted vegan leather headband and matching XL scrunchie and pearl clips from Bellefixe – because all my girls love hair accessories and and so do I. I also included a small bottle of Le Grand Courtage sparkling wine so that we could all celebrate via Zoom with a glass of bubbly in their personalized champagne flutes.
Of course, the proposal wouldn’t be complete without a personalized note. I have really awful handwriting but I still wanted to include a note. I asked Brianna of Swatch Hub – she makes the chicest masks and also does custom embroidery – to embroider a lovely note on cocktail napkins for each bridesmaid. The end result was a bridemaids proposal box that is custom and sentimental.
