I love a good midi skirt and this one from Mara Hoffman is such a fabulous piece for spring. I know it’s still wintering out here but you can’t fault a girl for dressing the weather she wants instead of the one she has. I’ve been using Rent the Runway unlimited for the past three months to breath new life into my closet and I must admit I’ve been having way too much fun picking styles to experiment with. I saw the Mara Hoffman ‘Tulay’ Floral skirt a few weeks ago on the website and had to snag it for a few days of wear. This skirt is going to be in rotation all spring summer long.
Why do I love midi skirts so much? For starter’s they are so feminine. I love the billowiness of the skirt. I like to keep it super simple by pairing any vibrant print with a crisp white top for a day out with the girls or casual office attire. The length of the skirt allows me to play with heel heights for my shoes. This time around I opted for strappy sandals heels but I would love to pair brown or metallic gold sandals or cream espadrilles with the skirt when the weather warms up. I own so many bodysuits, in both long and short sleeves. I will definitely style a few of the bodysuits for a night out this summer.
As for accessories, I found my earrings and bag on Amazon.com and will do a longer post next week on my top 10 accessories for spring. The bag is a dupe of the Shrimps Antonia bag and cost under $70. I snagged the earrings for under $15 and the sunglasses for under $10. Now that’s a steal if I do say so myself. My belt is from Blair Eadie’s collection for Nordstrom but I’ve linked a few wide belts below for you to shop the look.
