Brunch in Brooklyn Uniform

Weekends are for lounging and brunching and I love to do both in style.  Whether dressed up or down, my style always has one aligning theme and that is the element of something feminine. I love skirts, soft fabrics, billowy dresses, and dreamy lace.  I usually lounge in a house dress when at home working or spending time with my love. For weekend brunches, I typically opt for a dressy casual look.  After all, most of the girls I brunch with show up dressed to the nines. And if you’re a blogger, brunch means catching up with friends and snapping photos of whatever outfit you’re wearing.

My brunch uniform is simple! I wear an A-line silhouette in the form of a skirt or a dress that cinches my waist to give me a more flattering figure. It’s easy to get dressed for brunch when I stick to one color, in my case, I love red.  Red just makes any outfit look a lot more elevated.  For brunch last weekend with the girls, I wore my Tibi inspired skirt topped with a simple long sleeve cotton tee from Forever21.  When I go red, I go all out so it’s only natural that I whip out my red Alexander McQueen bag, Ferragamo flats, and some red sunglasses.
