As an entrepreneur, I’m blessed with having the ability to work from home. Over the years, I’ve developed the perfect routine to ensure I get things done. My day typically starts with a shower and a coffee and then I get dressed for the day as I would if I had to go into the office. My usual “cloffice’ attire is either a combo of jeans and a t-shirt or a dress. I usually switch into a button down option if I need to run errands around Brooklyn or go into the city for a preview or meetings.
I’m very much into size inclusive brands and I’m loving the expansion of the denim and clothing line from Express. The brand was my go to in college for club wear, work wear and everything in between, with my usual purchases being jeans and their comfy camisoles. I still live in those camisoles. I popped by the SoHo store to try out the new Express Perfect Curves Jeans collection, along with their other styles that now extend to size 18.
As a girl who loathes jean shopping, I was pleasantly surprised to find not one or two but six different jean styles that hugged all the right curves. My size typically ranges from a 14-16 in various brands and I opted for the 16 in the Black Mid Rise Ripped Stretch Jean Leggings, which I’ve been wearing lately…with everything.
Even in a 5’4′ frame, I gravitate towards regular length jeans because I love rolling them up or down depending on the height of my heels. I paired my jeans with the tie-front top, also from Express. P.S. it comes in three different colors. During a typical work week, I take my laptop and sit in the neighborhood garden, which happens to be on the same block as my apartment, to get some sun and fresh air. They have wifi so I usually work from the garden late-afternoon with a bottle of rosé.
I paired the jeans with a shirt dress from Express for date night with T. I love the combo! I also bought two other Express jeans that are not distressed for fall. The store is currently running a great promotion: buy one pair, and get the second pair for $9.90. This is the perfect time to stock up for back-to-school and Fall. There are promos on most items in-store and online as well.
