Dree Hemingway channeled Grace Kelly last night at the 2014 Met Gala with her old Hollywood curls, bold red lips and an ethereal eye. shu uemura art of beauty makeup artist Nico Guilis created the look for the blond beauty.
Nico prepped Dree’s skin by applying depsea water facial mist in lavender to the face to hydrate skin. Then he applied and buffed lightbulb fluid foundation in light sand into the skin all over using the sponge and the shu uemura brush 18r.
Next her filled in her brows and brushed high into the corners and through to the ends using eyebrow manicure in honey glaze to create a full shaped brow. On the eyes, he applied creamy eye shadow in medium brown 871 on the lower lid, in a 1950’s rounded shape then lined the waterline portion half way over the eye using eyelight pencil in white to create a pop in eye color .
Nico then applied petal lash mascara in black on the top and bottom lash to create an open eye that is fresh and defined. For the cheeks, he contoured Dree’s cheekbones using face powder matte in medium light and blended glow on blush in p soft pink 324 into the apple of the cheeks. He finished with a layer of tint in gelato in cassis delight.
