Founder Jonny Johansson was thinking a lot about the sea when developing the collection with an attempt to make a bolder, more memorable collection than recent seasons. He was inspired from his past summer during which he learned how to surf and visited L.A. where he had opened a new store.

Inspired by the movement of water, screen prints on tweeds and optic patterns created unique fall looks. Psychedelic swirls paired with oversize leopard prints shouldn’t work in theory, however he managed to successfully execute the idea.

Acne incorporated the season’s theme of sweater dressing through ribbed knits draped like beach towels and more conventional pullovers. He also used croc print in a couple of notable jackets and skirts.

In other looks he modified classic work wear shapes in sunset colors and created slouchy board shorts, inspired by surfer staples, in leather. Many of the pieces were topped by oversized pom-pom hats that were a massive hit.
