Revlon Lash Potion by Grow Luscious & Photoready BB Cream Review

June 14, 2013

I have a long standing relationship with Revlon. From my middle school days through college, I often ran to CVS or Walgreens to grab a lipstick, pencil or nail polish from Revlon to get beautiful for school or a special night out on the town. I was asked to review two new products from Revlon and was happy to oblige. For the past two weeks, I’ve been using the Revlon Lash Potion by Grow Luscious and the Revlon Photoready BB Cream.
Revlon Photoready BB Cream

Revlon Lash Potion by Grow Luscious As a mascara junkie, I immediately ripped open the product to give it a go. One quick swipe really fattened up my lashes but as we all know, the bigger the better.  The formula is enhanced with strengthening proteins, amino acids and essential vitamins to revitalize lashes.

After two coats, my lashes were super full, long and clump free.  It washed off effortlessly at the end of the evening.  The Revlon Lash Potion by Grow Luscious also comes in a waterproof formula.

The “Illusionist Wand” is made of traditional nylon bristles with evenly spaced out bristles for smooth application.  The wand picks up enough mascara to coat lashes.  The formula goes on easily.  After the mascara dries, my lashes still feel soft and pliable.  As for staying power, I was able to get 6 solid hours of wear out of my application.  I am anxious to try the waterproof formula, which will no doubt stay longer and be sweat proof this summer.

Revlon Photoready BB Cream I have tried several BB creams over the past few months and my only problem with  most of them is that they don’t come in darker shades for deeper complexions.  The Revlon Photoready BB cream was no exception.  One of my writers tried the medium formula and raved about the full coverage.  She hates wearing makeup but needs a bit of coverage when she steps out of the house so this formula was a tried and true for her.

“I’ve been want to try a good BB cream that will cover up my almost faded acne scars but didn’t know where to start.  Using the Revlon Photoready BB Cream over the last week has made a big change in how I use makeup.  Not only did it do a great job covering up my imperfections, the lightweight formula didn’t leave my face chalky or greasy.  I also love the SPF 30.  This all-in-one makeup is going to be my go to all summer. Actually, all year long,” Erin.
