Kay Kwok presented by GQ China sent the audience into a cataclysmic journey into outer space with this “spiritual adventure in earth’s ring current.” Kay Kwok originally from Hong Kong created a collection that was designed from the main character of a comic book. Full of imagination these forward thinking prints and truly creative concepts were tailored for the Sentimentalist audience Kay Kwok seeks.
Deep plunging v-necklines filled the collection forcing spring into view with sleeveless shirts some extending below the knee making it perfect for a Miami setting. Light leather cream colored pants complemented the cosmic looks with a loose fit in the leg. Black leather shorts served as an alternative with leather sandals. Suits with an asymmetrical cut had patent leather neck shields further highlighting the futuristic appeal we would expect from Hong Kong.
Striped colored patterns filled the collection in pants, suits, and coat sleeves. Other patterns were designed based on an “electric current carried by charged particles trapped in a planet’s magnetosphere.” Kay Kwok used these atmospheric effects and masterfully placed them within his collection while maintaining the tailored look found in the London man. Ankle high sandals, long and short bags also played a creative part in pulling these looks together. Overall Kay presented a playful collection with great coats, leather pants, and long v-necklines not typically seen on men.
