Leading Men Dressed to Kill at the 2013 Academy Awards

February 28, 2013

We often forget the boys at high profile red carpet events but this season, I am determined to showcase all the sartorial choices of some of my favorite leading men at the 2013 Academy Award, held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California on Sunday night (first men’s red carpet recap here).

men1Les Miserables actor and British heartthrob Eddie Redmayne donned a black tuxedo with a wide label by Alexander McQueen for the occasion.

Django Unchained actor Christoph Waltz, who nabbed the Best Supporting Actor award, wore a navy Prada suit with a rounded lapel and matching bow-tie.

Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe chose a black Prada tuxedo and matching bow-tie for the occasion.  Who knew he could dance and sing. Radcliffe did a number during the intro sequence at the awards show with host Seth MacFarlane and fellow actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

men2
Les Miserables actor Hugh Jackman, nominated for Best Actor for his role in the musical, wore a double-breasted suit by Tom Ford.  I was digging the well groomed beard. No savage Wolverine here.

The Dark Knight Rises actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt wore a dark grey Gucci tuxedo with shiny black lace-up shoes.

We saved the best for last! The man of the night, my husband, Daniel Day-Lewis, who took home the top prize of Best Actor for his role as Abraham Lincoln in the Steven Spielberg movie, Lincoln, wore a custom navy suit by Domenico Vacca.
