Actress Kerry Washington swept the 2013 NAACP Image Awards and took home three awards for her work on Scandal, Django Unchained, and her tireless work in advocating for arts in schools as well as being an ambassador for President Barack Obama’s presidential campaigns. The stunning actress wore a pink and green gown by Oscar de la Renta for the event. She picked up the Best Actress in a Drama Series award, Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for Django Unchained and the President’s Award for her humanitarian work.
Kerry’s Scandal co-star presented her with the Best Actress in a Drama Series awards and gave her a big kiss. We’re sure the entire audience was hoping to see something a bit steamier. From the NAACP telecast we learned that Kerry is the first African American female in over 30 years to lead a cast in a prime time series, the first being Diahann Carroll, who presented Kerry with an award.
Kerry sleeveless lace Oscar de la Renta gown had a pink lace bodice and a green jacquard skirt. The drama of the structured skirt came from its asymmetrical skirt with a long train in the back. She accessorized with nude Christian Louboutin Pigale pumps, pink Kotur clutch and a brooch, earrings and ring by Neil Lane.
