TERESA PALMER looked stunning in her black lace Philip Armstrong gown at the Hollywood premiere of her new zombie romance movie “Warm Bodies”. Her long locks, swept to the side to reveal her dewy complexion and smouldering eyes.
Celebrity makeup artist Melanie Inglessis worked with the actress, and was inspired to give her an intense eye that was surrounded by radiant skin. “I wanted to create fresh skin with sexy smoky eyes to compliment her striking and bold dress,” Melanie explained.
“I chose ARTISTRY Tinted Moisturizer [for her skin] because it has a very light coverage and gives a healthy glow. I used a damp sponge to apply it to keep the skin looking fresh and dewy.” Melanie then applied ARTISTRY 3D Face Powder in Shimmery Pink all over Teresa’s face with a big powder brush “for a light-catching effect,” she says.
When it came to her cheeks, Melanie gave them a rosy tint with Laura Mercier Creme Cheek Color in Rosebud. “I applied just on the apple of the cheeks to brighten the look and add freshness to the makeup.”
“I used the ARTISTRY Bronzed Patina Eyeliner Pencil (from the Enchanted Garden Collection) to define her eyes, top and bottom, and started creating the eye shape that I want. Then I smudged ARTISTRY Bronzed Water color along upper lash line top (and bottom) to create a smoldering look.
“With a blending brush I started working: ARTISTRY Eye Color in Eclipse, which is a metallic purple, went into the crease of the eyes to create depth. I used this color on the top and bottom lashes too, and over the water base color, so it is a nice blend.”
To give Teresa’s eyes some added light, Melanie applied a metal tone with ARTISTRY Golden Pearl Water Eye Color on the inner corner of the eyes as well as the brow bone. “I curled the lashes and applied 2 thick coats of ARTISTRY Length and Definition Mascara. To finish the look I used ARTISTRY Lip Gloss in Pink Blossom, I just dabbed it lightly on the lip for a very natural lip.”
