Inspired by French art deco interior and furniture designer Emile-Jacques Ruhlmann, the Catherine Malandrino Fall 2013 presentation titled “Le Normandie” was chock full of well-crafted and delicate pieces. From a sporty black leather bomber paired with an embroidered black wool skirt, to the ultra-glamorous long burgundy silk crepe gown, there wasn’t a single piece in the collection that didn’t garner a chorus of “ohhs and ahhs” from the many editors and fans walking through the collection.
