British actress Keira Knightley stars alongside Jude Law in the much anticipated remake of Tolstoy’s book Anna Karenina, in which she plays the title character. Set in opulent Russia, the movie features lavish costumes, which Knightley said she sometimes gave input on how she wanted them to look.
For the premiere of the film in Los Angeles last night, the actress wore a strapless mint green duchess-satin gown by Erdem. The gown is a custom piece by Erdem Moralioglu inspired by a piece from his spring 2013 collection. Adoring the hem and top of the bodice was a blue and grey floral motif seen on the runway look. The drama from the dress was on the back, which fanned out in an elegant train.
Knightley added a punch of color with bright pink lipstick, which looked stunning against her bronzed skin. A twisted updo and winged eyeliner was all she needed to keep the look modern yet classic. A diamond-encrusted Chanel earrings in the shape of a star completed the look.
