Donna Karan has created a strong perfume for strong women appropriately named Woman. The new scent, which launches next month at 240 stores, is formulated with a heart of sandalwood and Haitian vetiver, as well as orange flower. Housing the fragrance is a black and grey gradient bottle designed by architect Zaha Hadid, who designed the Chanel Mobile Art Exibition in 2008.
Woman will come in two sizes – 1.7 oz. for $85 and 3.4 oz. for $115. Ancillary products will include a body lotion and a body cleansing lotion, both housed in a sleek black bottle with gold piping. The perfume will be available at Bloomingdale’s, Lord & Taylor, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue and later at Harrods in the Fall.
Models Christy Turlington Burns, Karolina Kurkvova and Liya Kebede have been tapped as the faces of Donna Karan Woman. The campaign, shot by Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, will begin running in September issues and will “celebrate the accomplished yet sensual side of multifaceted women.”
