I am obsessed with the Duchess of Cambridge’s style more than anyone else right now. Some might call Kate’s wardrobe choices boring, but I call it classically conservative with a modern twist. She might not be as daring as Daphne Guinness but why would she want to be so avant garde? For almost a year, we got used to her wearing L.K. Bennett shoes, particularly her taupe Sledge pumps and her Maddox Wedges.
During St. Patrick’s Day, the 30 year-old debuted two new designers for a solo appearance, bespoke British designers Emilia Wickstead, who makes beautifully tailored dresses and separates; and Emmy Shoes, who make to order bridal and dress shoes. Kate’s brown suede pumps with a small platform are so simple yet classic. I can see her wear these for years, unlike say the Alexander McQueen Armadillo shoes that were trendy for a season. Kate loves her Emmy Shoes pumps so much that she bought them in brown and carbon, a dark grey color.
