Madonna’s got her hands busy these day with so many business ventures. From movies and music to clothing and perfume, there is nothing the singer can’t do. With the success of her Material Girl brand for Macy’s comes another new fashion venture, this time, shoes. Madge, who just formed a new label called Truth or Dare with her manager Guy Oseary, and Iconix Brand Group Inc, will be designing shoes with her stylists inspired by dance. The 60 piece shoe collection which will retail for $89 to $349, will include flats, heels, booties and over-the-knee boots.
The Truth or Dare shoes will launch this fall at Macy’s, Nordstrom and ASOS.com, a pop-up shop at Selfridges in the U.K. and The Bay in Canada. Aldo Shoes will be producing Madonna’s line, making this their first licensing agreement. The shoes are being geared toward 27- to 50-year-old women, a demographic not in tuned with the Material Girl label. Before the shoes launch, Truth or Dare will launch an eponymous scent in April with Madonna as the face of the campaign. There are also talks of launching an intimates collection in 20123.
