Erdem Fall 2012

February 21, 2012

“This time I wanted it to feel very strong,” said Erdem Moralioglu backstage at his fall 2012 runway show. “I like the idea of mixing the wrong with the right.”  A favorite of Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, Canadian born designer Erdem stepped out of his comfort zone for autumn, mixing textures and prints to create alluring pieces to flatter a woman’s figure.  As usual, the designer kept the dresses at a lady-like length with knee grazing hems.

Erdem dares women to bare arms this autumn with sleeveless shift dresses and sheer long sleeve tops.  Figure hugging sheath dresses were vamped up with sexy cutouts to show off the delicate upper back.  A mix of houdstooth and tweed, as well as vibrant colors like marigold, lapis blue, plums and purples and darling pinks livened up the collection.
