With the cold weather creeping up on us this late November, hitting the nearest coat store for a warm winter coat is a must. For many curvy girls, finding something that is flattering can be a challenge and believe me, I’ve had my fair share of coat hunting dilemmas. I find that the most flattering silhouette for curvy, apple bottom or hour glass figures is the swing or the fit and flare coat.
The fit-and-flare shape is figure forgiving because it cinches at the waist then flare out at the bottom to cover up imperfections. It is feminine and ultra stylish without being too stuffy or regimental. I have picked out a few coats in various price ranges to help you find the right coat for you this winter. Don’t be bullied into going for the traditional peacoat, which ends up being too tight at the hips and thigh regions.
