Blake Lively in Chanel Couture for MoMa 4th Annual Film Benefit

November 16, 2011

Gossip Girl starlet Blake Lively attended the Museum of Modern Art’s 4th Annual Film Benefit: A Tribute to Pedro Almodovar last night wearing a textured and featured top with a body-con skirt from the Chanel Couture Fall 2011 collection.  Now on any given day, we would give Blake high marks for her style but this look is a bit out of whack. Perhaps it’s time for her to hire a stylist.  The skirt was shortened  for Blake but the styling is all wrong.

For starters those tights need to go and the Louboutin booties were not the right shoes to go with this look.  A strappy sandal heel or even a pump would have sufficed.  From the knee up, her ensemble is stellar.  Can we talk about her absolutely flawless makeup and hair? I mean this girl is a natural beauty but she comes from the school of ‘less is more’ and we commend her for that.  Blake, just take off those tights and wear different shoes so we’ll give you an A+. This looks gets a B-.

P.S. stop buying all the Christian Louboutin shoes during the sample sale.  We mere mortals with limited budgets need to get some high fashion footwear as well.

xoxo
