I have been dreaming about wearing one of Duro Olowu’s dresses since seeing his collection on the runway two years ago.  The Nigerian born designer infuses his African heritage with a high fashion twist into each collection.  Based in the United Kingdom, Duro Olowu has a huge fan base worldwide with Vogue magazine’s Anna Wintour being a big supporter of his.

There are so many items from his collection that are on my list of must own but his Printed Silk-Satin Gown from his fall/winter 2011 collection is my current object of desire.  The v-neck gown is elegant, youthful yet sophisticated and the perfect piece to make a big splash on a red carpet.  The gown retails for $3,545, quite a splurge for a babe on a budget but definitely a swoon-worthy piece.
