The Ralph Lauren spring 2012 collection brings the label full circle with what solidified Ralph as one of the fashion titans of the 21st century, the Great Gatsby.  Forty something years after creating costumes for the iconic movie starring Robert Redford and Mia Farrow as well as a collection heralded as the designer’s launching pad into fashion, those who missed the clothes the first time around get a chance to relive an updated history when the entire collection hits the racks and online come spring.

I’ve already done a review of the clothing from the spring 2012 Ralph Lauren show so this time around, I dedicate attention to the accessories.  For starters, I am obsessed with anything woven. I absolutely love the accessories in the collection, especially the shoes, which have woven heels, iridescent gold straps, braided detailing and even a bamboo heel on one high heeled sandal.   The handbags also get the woven treatment.  On my lust list are two bags, an iridescent pastel green bordering pewter clutch, woven to perfection and adorned with a tassel; and a large brown satchel versatile enough to take me from meetings to martinis.
