Rain! Rain! and More Rain! Forecasted for New York Fashion Week

September 6, 2011

Hundreds of fashion editors, photographers and celebrities are gearing up for New York Fashion Week, which starts on Thursday at Lincoln Center.  As excited as we all are to check out the Spring/Summer 2012 collections, figuring out what to wear sometimes takes weeks to plan.  Though the weather is usually nice in September so fashionistas can strut across the Lincoln Center campus, where they can be seen and photographed for various publications, it’s not the case this season.

Forecasted for New York City for all seven days of fashion is rain, rain, rain and more rain.  Get your fashionable umbrellas, Melissa shoes and rainproof ensembles ready because suede will not cut in as you run across Lincoln Center to your shows.   Temperatures will be in the mid-60s to low-80s.  What ladies need to really worry about is how to keep your hair looking posh during the downpour during fashion week.  You’ll put your name on the TRESemme Lounge waitlist for a blowout or touchup, if you are one of the smart ones.   If  you don’t nab a spot, head to one of the private lounges at the Empire Hotel.
