Sarah Jessica Parker in Giambattista Valli Couture Gown & Cape

Sarah Jessica Parker is making the press rounds for her new movie I Don’t Know How She Does It and she’s pulling out all the stops fashion wise on the red carpet.  The quintessential fashionista channeled her Sex and the City days this weekend in Moscow with a stunning red Giambattista Valli Gown from the designer’s first couture showing in Paris and a matching cape that billowed effortlessly as she moved.  The petite actress let the gown speak for itself with minimal makeup and a voluminous ponytail.

It’s a jungle out there in the fashion world and no one knows that better than SJP, whose alter ego Carrie Bradshaw has maneuvered the concrete jungle called New York City in sky scraping stilettos from high end designers like Manolo Blahnik, Jimmy Choo, Azzadine Alaia and Christian Louboutin.  Ms. Parker completed her outfit with a lion claw pump from the latter designer’s autumn collection.

We’d have preferred for SJP to have worn a strappy sandal heel to complement such an elegant gown but the woman loves to be jovial with her outfits by adding a touch of quirkiness.  These Christian Louboutin Alex Lion Paw shoes cost $4,995 and are definitely a collector’s item because only eight of them were made available in the United States for purchase.  These shoes would have been more appropriate for the celebrities hitting the red carpet of Lion King 3D movie premiere.
