Are you ready for one of the hottest society events of the Summer in Washington, DC?  The Capital Club of Washington is hosting its annual Sinatra Soiree this Thursday, July 14 and if you are fashion conscious, you surely know that proper preparation has to be made in order to ensure you don’t wear the same outfit as the next party goer. I usually spend more time putting together a few looks for the ladies, which I will do but I wanted to show some love to the dapper gents who will be donning their Summer resort best for to swing the night away to the musical selections of a Sinatra band. What is a a dashing Don to wear for this occasion?  I say go white or go home.

Most of the guys attending Sinatra, including the members of Capital Club, own a navy blazer.  I suggest dusting it off or heading to Eddie Bauer and nabbing a new one if you haven’t worn yours all Summer long.  For this fete, an all white ensemble portrays sophisticated, polish and elegance.  Ralph Lauren Black Label Slim Pant ($148) in white and a crisp button down shirt are the basic foundation of this outfit.  Add a splash of color with linen loafers by one of my new footwear brands, Del Toro.  The Devil’s Advocate Red linen loafer ($235) is an attention grabbing shoe to go with the all white look.  Personalize your loafers with an emblem or embroidery to give it more panache.

A true gent never leaves the house without a pocket square. After ladies want calm, cool and collected gentlemen; meaning no sweaty faces on the dance floor.  Try the Simonnot Godard Pocket Square ($55). Pay a nod to Sinatra’s Vegas Days with Cufflinks Inc. Clubs Card Suit Cuff Links  ($35) and complete the look with sexy dark rimmed glasses like the Oliver Peoples D-Frame Optical Glasses, if you are feeling bold.  See you on the dance floor.
