Be still my heart! H&M just announced its Fall 2011 designer collaboration and it’s a big one. VERSACE! Say it with me folks, V-E-R-S-A-C-E! Yes! The House of Versace! Donatella Versace is going to design an exclusive collection for the fast fashion brand that will comprise of 40 women’s pieces, 20 men’s pieces and a slew of accessories that exude the high glamour and high fashion Versace is known for. The Versace for H&M collection, which debuts in November 19th in stores, will be made up of rich materials like leather, prints, heavy metals and more, but at H&M prices.
“I am thrilled to be collaborating with H&M and to have the opportunity of reaching their wide audience. The collection will be quintessential Versace, perfect for H&M and Versace fans everywhere,” says Donatella Versace.
Yea we’re thrilled too Donatella. Finally, women can slip their slinky figures into a Versace creation without feeling guilty for not paying the bills. Some photos from the collection are already out and I must say, this is going to be a fun collection that men and women will be stabbing each other in line for. Donatella has also created a pre-spring collection for H&M, which will land in store January 19th.
“Versace is one of the most important brands of recent times and their collection for H&M will be glamorous and extraordinary – everything Versace stands for. Versace is sharing with us iconic designs from the archives. This is such a celebratory collaboration and is perfect for the festive season,” says Margareta van den Bosch, creative advisor at H&M.
Check out Donatella wearing one of the dresses from the collection at the Versace Men’s show. Both collections will be available in about 300 stores in the US, which means, you better split the group and go to multiple H&M stores in your area to get your Versace fix, come November.
