[RED CARPET STYLE] USA Networks Upfront Presentation

May 4, 2011

USA Network held its upfront presentation on Monday evening at the tents at Lincoln Center.  The stars of its seasoned shows and new series all came out to walk the blue carpet before heading inside for a fabulous fete with a special performance by Janelle Monáe.  USA Networks’ hit shows like Covert Affairs, White Collar, Burn Notice, Royal Pains, Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Psych are all returning.  The network is also adding a few new shows to its line-up including Necessary Rougness and Suits. The gentlemen looked dashing on the red carpet.  The three suit brands the USA Network actors donned on the red carpet were Paul Smith, Hugo Boss and Dolce & Gabbana, though we really loved Suits actor Patrick Adam’s Dries Van Notten suit.

Peter Gallagher in a Dolce & Gabbana Suit, Hugo Boss Shirt and Prada shoes.  I have a confession: I have the biggest crush on Peter Gallagher.  Sure he is twice my age but he is so dashing and carries himself so well.

Piper Perabo of Covert Affairs wore a silver asymmetrical one shoulder  Karen Millen dress and grey shoes.

Chris Gorham of Covert Affairs wore a black Balenciaga sweater and Rag & Bone pants.

Kari Matchett of Covert Affairs wore a black dress by Canadian designer Magpie and Calvin Klein sandal heels.

Anne Dudek of Covert Affairs wore a metallic gold knee length Karen Caldwell dress.

Tiffiani Thiessen of White Collar wore a knee length Giorgio Armani dress.

Tim DeKay of White Collar wore a navy Paul Smith suit with brown lace-up dress shoes.  One of the rare actors who is friendly and seems to really enjoy his work as much as working the red carpet.  He told me the new season of White Collar is going to be explosive.

Marsha Thompson of White Collar looked gorgeous in a sleeveless BCBG Runway knee length dress and nude shoes by Miu Miu.

Matt Bomer of White Collar whizzed by but was polite enough to pose for a photo.  He did look dashing in his three piece suit sans tie.

Hilarie Burton of White Collar wore a red one shoulder mini dress by Cynthia Steffe and nude Christian Louboutin peeptoe heels.

Sarah Shahi of Fairly Legal wore a red knee length dress by Karen Millen

Michael Trucco of Fairly Legal in Hugo Boss.

Virginia Williams of Fairly Legal wore a deep plunging backless cream dress by Camilla & Marc.

Baron Vaughn of Fairly Legal stayed true to himself at the event by rocking Adidas sneakers with his pants/jacket ensemble.

Seth Cohen of the new series Necessary Roughness wore a Dolce & Gabbana Suit and a Calvin Klein shirt.

Marc Blucas of the new series Necessary Roughness wore the same suit he wore to his wedding to the event.  He told me it’s a Paul Smith Suit he bought at Barneys New York.

Callie Thorne of the new series Necessary Roughness wore a Rebecca Taylor dress and shoes and a Marc Jacobs clutch

Mehcad Broooks‘s chocolate suit was a hit on the USA Networks blue carpet.  The new series Necessary Roughness actor gave me the inside scoop when I asked him who he was wearing. He designed the suit himself and will be coming out with a menswear line.  As for the name of the label, he told us he had narrowed it down to two: Son of Chic after the Rudolf Valentino movie or Elgona Doro, which means winner.

Dule Hill of Psych wore a chocolate suit by Paul Smith.

Maggie Lawson of Psych told us she chose her dress last minute. She chose a deep plunging asymmetrical dress by Tory Burch and booties by Rag & Bone.

Kiersten Nelson of Psych styled her short hair in a rocker chic hairstyle.  She wore a purple knee length Lanvin dress and Stuart Weitzman shoes.

Timothy Omundson of Psych looked absolutely dashing in a suit by Hugo Boss. His blue eyes are so piercing I couldn’t help but stare deep into them.

Gabriel Macht of the new show Suits is wearing a Gucci suit sans tie with the top button undone.  We absolutely love the look.

Patrick Adams of the new show Suits has some real style.  His Dries Van Notten suit was sleek and sexy.

Vincent D’Onofrio had no idea what he was wearing but we loved that Law & Order: Criminal Intent is back and better than ever. He told us viewers will get a lot more insight into his character’s background and psyche with some scene with his shrink.

Kathryn Erbe wore a green lace strapless Dolce & Gabbana dress and Christian Louboutin peep-toe heels.  She told us her toned arms are thanks to picking and and running after her seven year old son and getting her butt kicked by her personal trainer.

Mark Feuerstein of Royal Pains looked dashing in Paul Smith Suit.

Steve Austin wore a suit by Broken Skull.
