Dolce & Gabbana Makeup Introduces the Animalier Collection

May 16, 2011

The sexiness, romance, allure and glamour of Dolce & Gabbana’s animal print series has now come to its makeup collection.  The brand introduced the Animalier Makeup Collection with a teaser video and a product line introduction on its website last week. Chock full of vibrant and romantic colors Dolce & Gabbana is known for, the Animalier makeup collection has a full product line for face, eyes, lips and nails, in a wide array of mouth watering colors for Spring and Summer; all packed in an elegant gold compact or case.

Domenico and Stefano say they worked tirelessly with renowned makeup artist Pat McGrath to create the harmonious colors, ensuring symmetry with the exotic color swatches in its clothing collection.  The Animalier makeup collection is practical and multi-faceted, taking women’s looks from day to night effortlessly.  According to the website, the collection was inspired by the landscape of Stramboli’s glistening black sand and the high gloss runways of Milan.

According to Pat McGrath:

“What I especially love about the Animalier collection is that it is so versatile – there are no rules because the palette is so compatible.  Whether I choose to emphasize the eyes – smokey eyes are always so fierce, so sexy – or the warm luscious red lips, the look is ultimately pulled together by the fantastic Animalier Bronzer. The bronzer has such an amazing texture – it feels so good – and it creates this fabulous sun-polished glow that is remarkably sensual and that encapsulates what summer means – passion, romance and shedding all inhibitions!”

The new Dolce & Gabbana Animalier Makeup collection is going to be available globally at luxury beauty counters. Find it at Saks Fifth Avenue in the US; Harrods in London; The Paris Gallery in Dubai; Tsum in Moscow; la Rinascente Duomo, la Rinascente, Profumeria Beghin and la Rinascente Roma Galleria, among others, in Italy.
