Profession: Educator and Union Advocate

Bona Fides: BA in US History, University of NY (Albany), MA in Education, Western Washington University, an educator for ten years

Off Duty: I have a child with autism and a sister with cancer, so I believe very strongly in educating and advocating for others. I enjoy participating in the Autism Speaks benefits, including the Walk for Autism Speaks, and Relay for Life. Politics is my mistress to my fashion love affair. In the next life, if I don’t work in fashion, it will be in politics.

Happiest when…traveling with my family. Our next stop is Hawaii. My husband and I were married there and this year will mark our tenth anniversary. This time a renewal with the kids at sunset sounds perfect.

Inspirations: The men and women on Shop Style. They are not only the nicest, most supportive people on the planet, they are the most talented and inspire me everyday.
