Celine Dion’s Dazzling Costumes on Opening Night Concert At Caesars Palace

March 16, 2011

More than 4000 concert goers lauded French-Canadian singer Celine Dion on her return to Caesars Palace in Vegas for the opening concert of her new three-year show following the success of her first, “A New Day.”  It was a return the multi-Grammy award winning songbird had been looking forward to since the birth of her twins five months ago.

Belting out her hit songs like My Heart Will Go On, It’s All Coming Back to Me Now, Because You Loved Me and hits by other equally legendary singers like Michael Jackson, Jacques Brel and Journey, Ms. Dion had the audience crying and dancing in their seats. Even Stevie Wonder couldn’t miss this electrifying evening.  He made a guest appearance, sharing the stage with chanteuse and a 31-person orchestra dressing the stage, including an entourage of guitarists, back-up singers, drummers and a pianist, all clad in black tuxedos and gowns.  Ms. Dion’s many wardrobe changes were as stunning as her liquid smooth voice.

Showing off her svelte post pregnancy figure, Ms. Dion, a mother of three, donned a strapless white body-con gown to open the show.  She changed into equally stunning costumes for the duration of her high octane performances, including a black beaded long sleeved gown with exaggerated shoulders and a thigh slit showing off her toned legs; a long sleeve beaded gold mini dress with a deep plunging neckline; and a white shoulder gown. Ms. Dion’s out of this world performance is being hailed by critics as “epic,” “spectacular,” and “triumphant.”  Her costume changes can also be described as such because it definitely sets the visual tone for her fans and audience.
