Fashion Week kicked off Wednesday evening with a star studded runway show to raise awareness of women’s heart health.  A bevy of beauties from film, television, sports and news donned red dresses designed by prominent designers showing in the tents this season, to show their support of educating women about the number one cause of death in among their peers.

Among the women who took a turn on the catwalk was a very pregnant Laila Ali, glowing and gorgeous in a frock from A Pea in the Pod, Audrina Patridge, Taraji P. Henson in Naeem Khan, Dita Von Teese in a body-con Zac Posen, Gayle King in Donna Karan and Patti LaBelle in Zang Toi.  Suzanne Sommers walked the runway show in honor of her mother and grandmother, who died of strokes.

Giuliana and Bill Rancic stopped to pose for me after the show.  The E! News personality walked in the Red Dress Collection show.

Matthew McConaughey sat front row to cheer on his girlfriend Camila Alves, who rocked the hell out of a Kaufman Franco dress.
Susan Serandon cheered on her daughter Eva Amurri, who is a spitting image of her mother.
