French Twist | Talbots February 2011 Catalog

February 1, 2011

Talbots’ Spring 2011 collection is all about reinventing Parisian style for American women.  The collection is a testament to the brand’s commitment to creating itself for a younger set of taste makers. Denim dresses and skirts are updated with feminine silhouettes.  Channeling the ’50s with a Parisian flare, this collection is well styled and edited.

Look for simple yet elegant dressing.  Umbrella skirts are paired with crisp white button down shirts and peep-toe bow heels, white pants get casual with a chambray shirt, a floral print dress is perfectly cinched at the waist with a thin belt for an hourglass figure.  For accessories and pieces that complete each outfit, think of the colors of decadent macaroons.  Shoes, handbags, cardigans and scarves come stand out in mouth watering pastels shades.

The Talbots Madison bag is updated in in a snake embossed leather, so are a few of the shoes in the collection. Outerwear for Spring is also a must and Talbots aims to get you in theirs.  Take for instance a remake of the classic anorak, which Talbots calls a Glamourak with an over sized drawstring collar so delicate and feminine that it’s sure to become a Spring/Summer favorite.
