I went to the Gilt City Warehouse Sale VIP Press Party on Friday night at the Altman building with my friend Ali to see if we could snag a few items drastically reduced to breath new life into our wardrobe. We scoped out the scene, sifting through racks of clothes, shoes and tables full of handbags, luggage and home goods. I spotted a gorgeous Gryphon trench coat (above), originally $700 that was being sold for $75. Among my purchases was the imitation ostritch Nikki hobo by Rebecca Minkoff, originally $635 but snagged for $100. I don’t thing anyone left empty handed. The sales were too good. I do regret not snagging the camel colored Zac Posen bag (see below) that was being sold for $75.
