Lanvin for H&M Preview at Cooper Square Hotel

November 12, 2010

Anticipation of the new Lanvin for H&M collection is driving me nuts. I went to the preview of the collection last week at the Cooper Square Hotel and fell even more in love with Alber Elbaz and his luxurious collection for the fast fashion brand. This isn’t your average run of the mill collaboration folks. Pieces in the collection are a bit more pricier than collaboration of years past but this is something really special. The Lanvin for H&M is something you will wear out and get complimented, envied and loved for wearing something truly gorgeous.
The dresses in the collection run upwards of $200 but they are worth every penny. Not only is the quality of the fabrics absolutely stellar, the cut and fit are also well made. Lanvin would not put its name on some mediocre cheap collection. No m’am. I inspected each piece in the collection and give it two big thumbs up. The tulle dress is on my must have list, along with the leopard shoes and the teal and ribbon shoes. Of course I have to stock up on the t-shirts, which run in the mid $50 range.
The collection hits specific markets on November 20, with Washington, DC being one of them (FINALLY). Make sure you go on the H&M website to see if your town’s H&M will get the collection. Even if your H&M store doesn’t get the entire thing, I am sure they will release the accessories and beauty products so that everyone can have a piece of this collection.
