District Designers | Dana Ayanna Greaves Presents Bohemian Boss by ARTAYA

November 17, 2010

As D.C has exploded and emerged as a center for culture, art, fashion, and music, local designers have been reaping the benefits.

One of our favorites, Dana Ayanna Greaves of ARTAYA, recently wowed locals with her Spring 2011 ready to wear collection, Bohemian Boss. Greaves, who has been named “one of the District’s most promising talents” by Washington Post Magazine, presented her collection at H Street’s Industry Gallery. One of our favorite area artists, DJ TJ, provided the music for the event, which featured refreshments, a pop-up shop, and the chance to check out Industry’s latest pieces.

Bohemian Boss is Greaves’ first ready to wear collection–with innovative, brightly hued and patterned clothing and technicolor jewelry made from verious metals, plastics and even paper– retailing from $200-$500 for garments and $18+ for bling, may we just say–we love. ARTAYA’s current pieces are housed in her shop inside the Nido store on Wisconsin Avenue, and we can’t wait to get our hands on them for the spring!
