Designer Gaby Basora has an eye for designing chic and feminine every day pieces for women the world over. Since launching her Tucker by Gaby Basora line, celebrities, socialites and the fashion elite have flocked to her silk and Georgette dresses and separates. Gaby’s collection hit mainstream America when she collaborated with Target to design a lower priced line. I’ve spotted many women in Tucker for Target dresses since its launch in September. The higher end Tucker by Gaby Basora line has a cult following that is increasingly growing.
The
Tucker by Gaby Basora brand designs simple pieces that have become a staple in my closet. Gaby designs simple pieces that flatter most women’s bodies. One might even say that her designs are nothing new. What makes Tucker by Gaby Basora a favorite are the prints that get updated each season. Each piece in the collection comes in various prints, solids and colors. With darling names like
Little Sandwich Boxes, Elodie’s Grand Mere, Sun Dial, Kings of Kings, Sinorita Lola Manz, Dinner at Indochine and many more, the Tucker prints are never boring.
Tucker by Gaby Basora is classic, ladylike, timeless yet modern. The designer has said she is inspired by classic beauties like Sophia Loren and Francoise Hardy and draws inspiration from her mother’s road trip adventures and even women she’s known throughout her life. I equate her prints to that of Diane Von Furstenberg, whose wrap dresses in gorgeous abstract prints became a symbol of femininity, class and refinement. Gaby Basora is our generation’s Diane Von Furstenberg; designing classic pieces that women can wear over and over again and still feel beautiful in it.
