Androgynous fashions have always ranked high on my list of fabulous things, and this fall brings an array of them in a multitude of forms. As temperatures drop (or, in the case of The District, fail to), I have found myself craving embellished menswear across the departments, be it apparel, accessories, or most important of all–shoes.

The key to rocking these trends is to wear only one at a time. I like to mix these slightly manly pieces with frills, lace, and floral, to avoid looking like the (dreaded!) tomboy, but I would throw on a silk cargo jacket with studded oxfords and a backpack any day!
