My friend Cheryl and I spent a great portion of Fashion’s Night Out at Bergdorf Goodman. First of all, the atmosphere around 5th Avenue and 58th Street was electric. I could only describe it as a fashion Halloween or a fashion New Year’s Eve party. With men and women, mostly women, decked out in fabulous frocks and ensembles sky scrapping heels and cameras in tow, just to catch a glimpse of their favorite celebrities and designers. There were so many activities on every floor, tons of champagne flowing and of course Pop Chips.
We had to of course stand in line for about 45 minutes before getting inside but had a blast watching artists make a couture gown out of wax, pop culture installations, two women in Victorian costumes having a tea party and spinning what looked like a loom and of course two entertainers interacting with the crowd and singing to onlookers. Upon entering the famous department store, you had to have a game plan in order to make it upstairs to see celebs and designers. The chaos surrounding Victoria Beckham was unreal. Everyone wanted a piece of her and cried out and screamed her name just to catch a glimpse and snap a photo.
There was so much to do that we had to divide and conquer. We found Heidi Klum on 5F, Nicole Ritchie dancing with fans and even singing karaoke, alongside bloggers and other designers. Naeem Khan’s wife was there in her flapper dress having a ball. Tom Ford made an appearance but we weren’t there for that. There was a doggie fashion show that made gush because I wanted a fabulous outfit like that for my imaginary dog. I also had the chance to chat one-on-one with Neiman Marcus Senior Vice President and Fashion Director Ken Downing, who is my fashion crush.

Bergdorf Goodman was the place to celebrity spot on Fashion’s Night Out in New York City. We loved this wax gown that was being created as we made our way through the long line to the doors of Bergdorfs. |

The interactive window displays was a nice touch. |
|
What alleviated the stress of waiting an hour in line to enter Bergdorf Goodman were the interactive windows that had the audience outside captivated. Of course it helped that there was a singer in the window entertaining the crowd, along with wax statues and pop art installations. |

Doggies took part in Fashion’s Night Out at Bergdorf Goodman. Donning their very best, of course it helps that their owners are designers. |
|
Designer Jason Wu was on hand to meet fans. There were a slew of other designers, like Tom Ford, Naeem Khan, Victoria Beckham, Donna Karan and many many more to mention here. |
|
A few designers brought in their dogs for a doggie fashion show. How lovely is that Swarovski crystal leash? If I had a dog, I would totally get one. |

America’s Most Wanted’s John Walsh was on 5F with his daughter Megan Walsh, who just launched her clothing line Blank Silk. |
|
Heidi Klum spotted on 5F on her Blackberry. Though she didn’t really interact with fans, at least for the 30 minutes we were there, she at least smiled when we took this photo. |
|
Nicole Ritchie took the time to dance with the crowd, despite the overwhelming amount of cameras trying to catch a glimpse of her. |
