Glamazon Lookbook | Friday Date Night

August 13, 2010

We love Friday evening outings with the girls.  It’s the time to unwind, forget about the stresses of work and indulge in good food and cocktails.  This Friday night, we’re going on a double date at Buddha Bar, the newest hot spot in Washington, DC.  Buddha Bar is the perfect setting for a date with friends. With visually ornate Asian-inspired tattoo art murals adorning the walls, 22-foot ceilings,  the signature 18-foot tall black onyx finished Indonesian Buddha statue, and an impressive Pan-Asian menu with an equally impressive cocktail and wine list, this restaurant and lounge is the perfect setting for a double date.
We love wearing dresses so much that we sometimes forget that pants exist.  This Friday, we’re taking a break from breezy dresses and skirts for a playful pantsuit.  We’ve taken the seriousness out of the suit however, with a navy floral silk pant from Tara Jarmon, a recent design discovery we’ve been dying to share. The pant is chic and the perfect starting piece for our date night look.  A soft Vanessa Bruno tank with a chunky necklace from Aqua complement the pant.  Instead of a cardigan or a wrap, we chose instead to go with a midnight blue tuxedo jacket, also from Tara Jarmon, which is a bit more polished.  It makes sense to wear navy or black shoes but we went for a gray, which looks a lot better with the outfit and brightens it up a bit.  We love Moschino’s lace-up leather booties and the quilted Mac B Chelsea bag. Tres chic n’est-ce pas?
