Foot Notes: Lillybee Ann in Black

August 6, 2010

Lillybee needs to change these darling peep-toe pumps from Ann in Black to Mak in Black because they are my new favorite heels for the fall. I took my new shoes for a spin last week at dinner with friends and got so many compliments that I wanted to keep the identity of the shoes a secret to avoid copycats.  These are the perfect pair of shoes for the girl who loathes wearing ballet flats, flip flops or Uggs during morning and evening work commutes.  Come fall, I will be pairing them with textured DKNY tights to add more pizazz.
The Lillybee Ann in Black peep-toe pumps are extremely comfortable with the block heel and looks uber chic with the jet black patent leather. Did I mention that the bow had me at hello? I wore the shoes with a pettiskirt and a plain three-quarter sleeve t-shirt and turned so many heads. The shoes are also affordable. At $168, Ann in Black will be a staple in your closet and will go with everything from the little black dress to a pink sheath, high waisted pants, a silk blouse and a cardigan or a shift dress with layered necklaces.
Lillybee is a Washington, DC-based shoe company that is only available at Simply Soles in Georgetown or online at SimplySoles.com. My friend Kassie Rempel is the designer for the brand. Her mission is to create sleek and elegant footwear for women who want to skip the sky high stilettos for chic but comfortable shoes. The Lillybee brand is a favorite of mine.  With so many designs that fit my lifestyle and budget, thinking globally and shopping locally has never been so chic.
