First Look | Chelsea Clinton Wedding Gown & Photos

August 1, 2010

The world waited with baited breath for the nuptials of First Daughter Chelsea Clinton to her longtime beau Marc Mezvinsky tonight.  Details of the wedding were kept under tighter security than that of the Afghan military intelligence reports.  Up until this afternoon, no one knew which designer Chelsea would be wearing down the aisle, aside from the bridal party and the designer who made the dress. Most people guessed Vera Wang would be the designer of choice for Chelsea, especially since she was spotted earlier this week en route to a Vera Wang boutique in New York City.
The first photos from the wedding, which was held at Astor Courts, a 50-acre estate in Rhinebeck, New York, have been released on CNN, courtesy of the Associated Press and Getty Images. The blushing bride wore a strapless Vera Wang gown with a jewel encrusted waist that defined her middle and a ballgown skirt made out of raw edged laser-cut silk organza and a train in silk tulle.   She opted for the traditional long tulle veil to compliment the diagonal draped bodice of her gown.  She carried a bouquet of white hydrangeas.  Proud mama Hilary Clinton, wore Oscar de la Renta.  Read the full story at CNN.
