The Ritz-Carlton in Georgetown welcomed same sex couples looking to get married in Washington, DC to their License to Wed reception. Under the leadership of the Ritz, wedding venders, including Mervis Diamond Importers and Capitol Decor and Events gave guests a glimpse at the current trends in wedding decor, jewelry, food and entertainment.
Jeffrey Fox with Capital Décor & Events created urban chic wedding vignettes in several of the hotel’s outlets, including Fahrenheit restaurant, the Brickyard Room, and the unique Chimney Stack dining room. Additionally, the hotel’s courtyard was set up like a faux ceremony site with models enacting a wedding in the Courthouse Chapel.
The Ritz-Carlton has also created special wedding packages and offerings, including The License to Wed Package. The package designed exclusively for out of town guests includes deluxe guest room accommodations for five nights, breakfast for two daily in Fahrenheit restaurant, transportation to and from the courthouse to apply for and pick up the marriage license, couple’s massage in the hotel’s Boutique Spa, and a Commitment Concierge to plan out day trips, dining reservations, and arrange romantic experiences and unique adventures for couples during their time in the nation’s capital. The total package price for two is $2760.
