Lorick’s vintage heiresses in Prohibition era Fall 2010 collection

March 29, 2010

Designer Abigail Lorick has come a long way since designer Eleanor Waldorf’s collection on Gossip Girl.  For her fall 2010 collection, Lorick turned New York’s Union Square ballroom into a Prohibition era Speakeasy.  The collection was bit more grown-up but still managed to maintain a youthful edge.  The colors for the season were kelly green, gold and slate blue. The “Anges et Cocons” or angels and cocoons themed collection showed Lorick at her best. Models in elaborate head pieces and statement necklaces, jumbo earrings and antique-style brooches by Subversive.  Blushing beauties on the looked like vintage heiresses in long citrusy leather elbow length gloves, full skirted tier dresses, Katherine Hepburn inspired high waisted pants and a mesh ensemble reminiscent of the ’80s.
